As soon as we found this B&B we fell in love with it. Created by Lyon Porter, the Urban Cowboy Bed & Breakfast is a place where guests arrive as strangers and leave as friends. It is a peaceful oasis in this urban jungle… yet steps to everything one wants out of Williamsburg and of course New York City.

The Cowboy is the definition of a passion project. There are 4 bedrooms in the freestanding townhouse, a cabin in the back yard with a hot tub and an open parlor floor that boasts operable garage doors on both ends, pot belly stoves, exposed joists and brick, wide plank rough hewn white pine floors…..and a lot more.

The Cowboy is luxury with a local sensibility. In the morning, breakfast is delivered from our local hospitality partners, so one can decide between an almond chocolate croissant, biscuits and gravy, or keep it healthy and have an organic green juice. At night, guests can mingle with the native Brooklynites during the various dinner parties and events hosted by the owner.

Tip: If one wants to venture out into the wild….Inn keeper Jersey Banks is happy to give suggestions or coordinate reservations for the guests, much like a concierge.

What to wear for your trip? Rock a pair of DVF Made for Glass Google sunglasses to share photos, make calls, shoot video and update social media while walking in this busy city, a comfortable oversized cotton-blend jersey dress, a Wendy Nichol’s bucket bag that, of course, has been handmade in New York’s fashionable Soho district, with tassels that will give you that boho-luxe appeal And last but not least, embrace the Western trend with Mexicana’s ‘Klak’ boots.

J.K. Place Capri: This brilliantly white, Italian deco-inspired estate overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea feels miles from anywhere but is still a quick jaunt from all the island’s glitz and glam. You’ll remember the wafting fragrances from its citrus trees and the sun-soaked poolside hours long after you wave goodbye. Sophistication redefined, JK Place Capri teeters on a cliff above the Marina Grande with panoramic views over the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius in the distance. A pristine, ultra-chic retreat, it has a glorious pool, an expansive terrace, a spa, beach access, a bar and great cuisine.

The ambiance at JK Place Capri is one of laid back glamour with ultra-white interiors and contrasting navy blue highlights that give the hotel a super stylish look and feel. Like a sophisticated, private villa, there are beautiful decorative touches throughout from large, white vases in the dining room to antiques, beautiful books and great art.

Enjoy a relaxing massage in the spa, followed by a dip in the pool. Take a boat trip around the island to discover the secrets of Capri or further afield to the Blue Island and the Amalfi coast. Return to dine at JKitchen on delicious Mediterranean cuisine.

What to wear for your trip? Rock a pair of oversized sunglasses, a silky scarf and jewelry from the Pomellato Capri collection to give your trip that Jackie Kennedy look.

The Betsy Hotel: Perched on the art-deco stretch of South Beach’s iconic Ocean Drive in Miami, this charming chocolate-box hotel is having a renaissance. Recently refurbished by former Ralph Lauren interiors designer Diamante Pedersoli, each room is a peaches-and-cream delight. With beauty products from Malin+Goetz, a 24-hour fitness center and a roof deck to take in the never-ending Floridian sea and sky, this is a beach break with a difference.

Elegant but relaxed tropical interiors and an intimate courtyard pool produce an experience that is timeless, unforgettable, and passionately low-key. The Deck at The Betsy, an expansive rooftop with sweeping views of the Atlantic, offers a Wellness Garden and Spa with a full range of spa treatments.

Specialty cocktails and light fare are offered on The Deck and at the Lobby Bar that adjoins the hotel Salon, where art adorns the walls. Fine dining shines at Laurent Tourondel’s BLT Steak at The Betsy. And, designed with a hint of vintage glamour, the underground hideaway B Bar offers an exclusive and discreet version of Miami nightlife, with a bygone era speakeasy feel in a 21st century package.

Insider tip: Head to the hotel’s BLT Steak restaurant for impeccably cooked meat and the freshest tuna tartare. From $355.
