{news} Carine Roitfeld Launched her CR Fashion Book Magazine During MBFW in NYC

The former Vogue Paris editor Carine Roitfeld launched her CR Fashion Book Magazine with a party during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York City on Saturday night. The newest publication to hit the fashion industry boasted some of the most gorgeous women includung Anna dello Russo, magazine cover girl Kate Upton and Karlie Kloss.

The CR Fashion Book magazine will be available on newsstands September 13 with a fatter issue than expected. The 340-page debut issue sold 150 pages of advertising. Brands that bought in include Giorgio Armani, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Tom Ford, Chanel and Estée Lauder.
About 90 percent of CR’s launch issue is dedicated to fashion shoots and 10 percent to features and stories. CRFashionBook.com will be the online extension of Roitfeld’s return to magazines since leaving French Vogue last year. The site will feature three main sections: The Book, featuring exclusive fashion, travel and lifestyle stories; The Envelope, which will be a daily update of Roitfeld’s latest obsessions; and The Wall, which publisher Jorge Garcia says will be “an amalgamation” of the other two sections.
“CRFashionBook.com is like an invitation into my home, to give the reader a glimpse of my world,” Roitfeld told The Huffington Post. “It will act as my personal diary to record everything that moves and inspires me.”
“When I was at Vogue, I had a lot of freedom. But I was still in a beautiful golden cage. I could not do a campaign with Karl Lagerfeld or launch a line with MAC,” said Roitfeld. “I want to do all these propositions. I think its fun. This magazine is a project to do between all the other crazy projects I have. I want to enjoy, you know?”

Christian Dior is going to have its own print magazine for fall and a holiday project with Printemps’ Boulevard Haussmann flagship for winter.

The seasonal magazine is to be published each September and March in nine languages with a controlled circulation to Dior’s best customers and prospects that would be released first, around September 10. Dior enlisted art director Fabien Baron to design the 110-page debut issue, which features Marion Cotillard on the cover wearing the house’s original Bar jacket and flaring skirt from 1947. Features include an interview with Dior’s new couturier, Raf Simons, by editor Jo-Ann Furniss, with articles and photo spreads dedicated to men’s wear, fine jewelry, perfume and accessories.

The print issue follows the February introduction of online editorial at Diormag.com, which has already attracted some 2.6 million visitors, the company said.

The Christmas partnership with Printemps extends from the building’s facade — with special illuminations and windows — to unique products and holiday shopping bags. “We really believe Printemps is more than selling products — it’s about creating an experience, and we’re looking for brands that can help us create magic in our store,” said Printemps chairman and ceo, Paolo de Cesare. “We wanted to use the incredible beauty of Paris to create a global dream for Christmas, and when you talk about Paris, there are a few brands that exemplify the elegance, the luxury, the savoir faire and the fashion of Paris, and clearly Dior is one of the best.

{magazine news} Victoria Beckham Turns Guest Editor for Glamour

Victoria Beckham can now add fashion journalist to her list of credentials, as she has become US Glamour’s first-ever guest editor for its September issue. The British celebrity appears on the September 2012 cover wearing a tiara in a bubble bath, and in the accompanying interview she talks about her work, marriage and experience of guest editing — notably coming up with her ‘fashion don’ts’ for the publication.

“It’s been exciting for me to see my ideas come to life, from type colors to photo selection to casting,” explained the star. ”I even made my own list of Glamour fashion Don’ts to keep out of the issue: boat shoes (unless of course you’re designer Alber Elbaz or on a boat!), Bermuda shorts, nose rings, Crocs, and American tan tights (that’s nude pantyhose to you).”

{Choupette} The Most Famous Cat in the World

Karl Lagerfeld believes that his beloved cat, Choupette, She travels with Lagerfeld to St Tropez on his private jet “in the cockpit, with the pilot, she loves looking at the sky” K says.  She has three maids whose duties include keeping a diary of all activities and taking her to the vet for a check-up every 10 days. “I don’t take her,” Lagerfeld says. “I don’t want her to be furious with me.”. 
“You know, personally, I don’t even think I’m that famous,” said Lagerfeld. “Now, Choupette really is famous. She has become the most famous cat in the world. I even get propositioned by pet food companies and things like that, but it’s out of the question. I’m commercial. She’s not. She’s spoiled to death.  Obviously.”
And daddy makes sure that Choupette is well attended at all times while he’s working: she has three maids, and pays a visit to the vet for a check-up every 10 days.  ”I don’t take her,” he told The Independent. “I don’t want her to be furious with me.”
