Packing for Spring Break Source Via Cosmopolitan
Packing for Spring Break: The first day of spring, which falls on March 20, hints that higher temperatures are not far off, so we have to start planning our spring break well deserve vacay. But can’t figure out what clothes to take with you? These tips from fashion stylist Brad Goreski, might just help solve your sartorial situation.
1. Pack light. The key to packing is to bring a few basic essentials that can create multiple looks. These pieces would be your favorite shorts or a pair of white jeans, which are good for day to night. You can wear both with multiple tops, and with sandals for day and metallic heels at night.
2. Be specific when it comes to your clothing choices. Plan out your outfits in advance and pack specific ones for every scenario/occasion. That way you never have to guess what you’re going to wear, and you don’t have random pieces in your suitcase that don’t go with anything. [Packing this way] allows you to get ready quickly, instead of mulling over your options.
3. Go with something simple, but pair it with a statement piece. A white tee, and skinny jeans can be worn with a statement shoe that instantly takes your outfit up a few notches. Adding jewelry that makes a statement or incorporating a pop of color can also make a huge difference in your look.
4. Don’t leave home without a travel hand steamer. I tell my clients to travel with a hand steamer because it fits easily in their luggage and only takes a couple of minutes to fire up and use. That way you won’t look like a wrinkled mess.
