We often see him sporting baggy jeans, t-shirts and a trademark baseball_ cap, but it turns out that beneath this slightly scruffy exterior Twilight star Robert Pattinson_ has a secret passion for high fashion.

The British actor, who is best known for his part as sparkling vampire hunk Edward Cullen, has recently confessed that he loves to draw dresses and would even like to showcase his own line at a high profile Fashion Week. What started as a few scribbles in a sketchbook has become a fascination, with Pattinson telling interviewers that he likes the ‘artistry’ of fashion design.

Pattinson has just become the new face for the Dior-Homme_ fragrance campaign, but it could only be a matter of time before the actor makes his way behind the scenes. With his hoards of female fans finding an audience certainly won’t be a problem, as many would love the chance to swoon over his dresses as well the hot young star himself.

If Rob needs a bit of advice, there are plenty of celebs who have traded in the day job to create a fashion line. From Rihanna- to Victoria Beckham and Kelly Brook, it seems that trying your hand at design is a must for the rich and famous these days. 2005 saw singer-turned-actor Justin-Timberlake add ‘business man’ to his CV when he joined best friend Trace Ayala to found label William Rast. The venture earned the pair an impressive $50m a year until Timberlake left this March. Rapper Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs has been even more successful with his line Sean John, which brought in $250m in 2004.
Despite his ambitions, Rob has some reservations, admitting that while turning his doodling dream into reality could be fun it might just turn out to be ‘incredibly embarrassing’.

Fans of the Twilight star may have to wait a while to wear an original R-Patz creation, but in the meantime get your fashion fix with one of these gorgeous Lipsy dresses.
