“There’s a smoky Parisian feel to it, a bit like Loulou de la Falaise but more rough and ready, like us,” said Alice Temperley of her pre-fall Temperley London collection. With references to Fifties couture, the South of France and Hitchcock heroines, there were fluffy mohair knits, full skirts in pleated organza and rich broderie anglais. Feathers were the leitmotif, appearing printed on dresses and blouses.
