Every year TWO x TWO the noted Dallas,TX-based organization holds their TWO x TWO for AIDS and Art benefit gala and art auction. This year they have partnered with accessories designer Nancy Gonzalez and together they commissioned ten world class contemporary artists to each create a one-of-a-kind signature Nancy Gonzalez Leaf Tote bag for the organization’s benefit auction.

Artists include: Raqib Shaw, Jenny Holzer, Lawrence Weiner, Will Cotton, Josephine Meckseper, Richard Phillips, Kaws, Jim Hodges, Dr. Lakra, and Mickalene Thomas. The collaboration was announced by Santiago Barberi Gonzalez, President of Nancy Gonzalez.

Matte white crocodile was used as the “canvas” for each bag that will be auctioned at the TWO x TWO for AIDS and Art gala on Saturday, October 20, 2012 in Dallas, TX. The ten ‘priceless and one-of-a-kind’ Artist Leaf Totes will be available at auction the night of the event with 100% of the proceeds benefiting TWO x TWO for amfAR and the Dallas Museum of Art, so this will not only be a great opportunity to buy a unique handbag but to donate all the money from your investment for a great cause.

Below, you can preview some of the totes designed by all these generous artists and the entire collection at NancyGonzalez.com. Also they will be on display at Sotheby’s on Seventy-second Street in New York through September 17.
