Barneys New York celebrated the opening of its new shoe floor on Monday at the Madison Avenue store in NYC. The floor was designed by architecture firm Yabu Pushelberg, under the direction of Barneys Creative Director Dennis Freedman.

In the women’s section, two semi-private glass cubes placed in the center of the floor are dedicated to Christian Louboutin and Manolo Blahnik, the store’s anchor brands. As the women’s department merged with men’s, a significant amount of square footage housed Miu Miu and Prada. You can also find new iPad stations throughout the floor, which provide complimentary access to and its luxury content site The Window.
To start the opening, Barneys has created the Perfect Pairs campaign, through which Barneys will donate 10 percent of this week’s sales from the new shoe floor to the Human Rights Campaign to further their work in fighting discrimination against LGBT people and expanding marriage equality around the country.

So head now to Barneys, enjoy their “true shoe heaven” and by indulging yourself into a new pair of shoes you will be donating some of that money to charity too!
