With Fashion Director of Vogue Gioiello and Pelle, Giovanna Battaglia, as muse and sister it is no surprise that Sara’s bags have more than just a hint of insider elegance to them. Spotted on the arm of fashion connaisseurs at fashion weeks around the world, the signature Acheora bag is both classic and cutting edge. Having been snapped by the likes of Tommy Ton, the young designers signature thick leather fringes and metal details are certainly making a big style statement.

The new collection is characterized by tribal chic atmospheres and bold colours that have all the ingredients to further enliven our summer: Sara Battaglia’s spring/summer collection 2012 ranges from a pristine turquoise recalling the colour of the Caribbean Sea, to a bright shade of green and yellow to a precious gold colour reminiscent of the Colombian treasure.

Among the iconic pieces is the Mochila Love shoulder bag designed drawing inspiration from the woven cotton bags created by the Wayuu tribes and decorated with colourful symbolic patterns. Another new entry is Isla bag: a bucket bag with cut-outs and studs evoking the appeal of Cartagena.

The Maria Paola bag is a tribute to the most popular name in Colombia: it’s a very soft day-to-day bag with a minimalist look that, thanks to the tassel detail, can add personality and charm to a restrained look. The collection does not fail to include some red carpet styles such as the two Woman Cage and Lady Cage minaudière pieces in gold and dark silver. The collection is available in selected boutiques in Italy and online at Luisa Via Roma.
