A Van Cleef & Arpels retrospective at Les Arts Décoratifs starts in September and it will be the first exhibition to place the jeweler’s designs in chronological order thanks to the use of special dating techniques.
As WWD reported, for the “Van Cleef & Arpels: The Art of Fine Jewelry,” exhibition, around 400 pieces created since the house’s inception in 1906 will be on show at the Paris museum from September 20 to February 10. The pieces on show will span from a 1924 Egyptian-style platinum bracelet set with emeralds, rubies, sapphires, onyx and diamonds to items from the 2011 collection Bals de Légende. They will be set against archival documents and sketches.
Again, wish we were in Paris!
