Victoria’s Secret launched its first high end lingerie line yesterday, called The Victoria’s Secret Designer Collection. and it’s nearly sold out already. Described by the brand as “exquisite, timeless, delicate and glamorous”, several of the key pieces were shown during the brand’s latest show in November, although the project was a kept a secret until now and will replace the luxury lingerie labels that are stocked in most VS stores.
The line features chiffon baby dolls, unlined bras and matching thong trimmed with European lace, ribbons and embroideries. “We took it in-house because we have a design team that has such a passion for lingerie, and they differentiate Victoria’s Secret from any other brand,” the brand’s president and chief marketing officer Ed Razek told WWD. The idea was to attract a more affluent and sophisticated consumer.
Bras retail from $98 to $158; undies are $38 to $68; baby dolls and teddies are $158 to $218, and the kimono and merry widow are $120 and $298. Available online at
